When I turned 28, I started to really dive into who I was and why I was here. After a tough go round in my early to mid 20’s, I knew that there had to be a better way. So I started picking up self development books and I was drawn to becoming the best version of myself!

I am 35 years old now, and this journey has been a beautiful one of self-discovery through who God called me to be! And one of the coolest things I’ve learned on this path is that when you “ask it will be given to you. If you seek you will find it. And if you knock, it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

When I started to realize the power of my mind, my vision and my prayers, I realized that God was here to support me and He could do infinitely more than I could ever ask or imagine.(Ephesians 3:20) But I needed to have faith in that awesome truth!

There are so many things that I have attracted into my life by thoughts and things I’ve focused on. From my friends, to my marriage, to my children, to my health and career. They are all things that were once simply placed on my vision board and now our blessings in my life! As a man thinks, so is he!” (Proverbs 23:7)

It’s awesome to look back on my first vision board from 2013 and see how faithful God has been because I have had faith! For example, here is the picture of the home I had on my vision board (poor quality due to it being a picture of a picture) and now the other is a picture of the home I currently live in. 

Pretty crazy, right?

So how do you make a vision board?

I suggest Michael’s craft store. My corkboard was $20 bucks. And the grab some fun Stickers and flowers. Then grab different magazines like People, Better Homes and Gardens, Women’s Health etc.  to find the visuals of the dreams God has put in your heart. Then go home and open up a notebook and write your dreams and goals. Start with faith then move onto family, marriage, career, and then big dreams! Dream as big as you can! Because there’s one thing I can assure you- God is bigger! Then when you place it on your board, pray over it. Ask God boldly for him to breathe life into your dreams and do this daily! Look at it daily and call each one into your life one by one.

I hope this encourages you today to believe in your desires, trust in the Lord and commit your ways to him and you will be blessed beyond measure!- Psalms 37:5
